As we settle into the holiday season, there is a shared desire to bring warmth and support to those in need. At Home Care Powered by AUAF, community service is one of our core values. We are proud to serve across many diverse neighborhoods throughout the greater Chicago area, helping reduce food insecurity with consistent food pantry donations.
From the South Side to Evanston to Schaumburg, it is our mission to uplift local communities by supporting food pantries that reach residents facing hunger. These essential social services distribute food to families who might otherwise go without. Some operate out of churches or schools, while others have grown into standalone organizations, becoming cornerstones in the fight against food insecurity.
This year, we were honored to donate to 35 different food pantries, supporting a wide range of Chicago food programs. These organizations include:
- Beyond Hunger
- Chicago Hope Inc.
- Elk Grove Township
- Heritage International Christian Church
- Howard Area Community Center
- Lakeview Pantry/ Nourishing Hope
- Leyden Township Town Hall
- Marillac St. Vincent Harvest Hub
- Mission of Our Lady of Angels
- Niles Township Food Pantry
- Onward House
- Pilsen Food Pantry
- River Grove Public Library
- Salvation Army Harbor Light
- Schaumburg Township Food Pantry
- Share Food Share Love Food Pantry
- St. Blaise Catholic Church
- St. Cyprian’s Food Pantry
- St. Celestine Catholic Church
- St. John Orthodox Church/ Bud-Plus
- What About Us Inc.
Many of these pantries are also connected with the Greater Chicago Food Depository, helping to expand access to nutritious food across the city. By contributing to pantries in various zip codes, we ensure support reaches households across multiple regions, especially where access to nutritious Chicago food is limited.
Choosing a Pantry Near You
Donating to your local food pantry is a simple, meaningful way to make a direct impact. Unlike donating online where the connection is less personal, food pantry donations often benefit neighbors right in your community. Whether it’s a well-known location or a small grassroots effort, these community-based services make a tangible difference.
With pantries spread throughout Chicago’s many zip codes, it’s easy to find one that’s close to you. By giving locally, you help strengthen the fabric of your own neighborhood and ensure everyone has access to the essentials.
Over 30 Years of Supporting the Senior Community
For older adults, remaining independent at home can feel like a distant hope. However, with the right support, that hope becomes reality. For nearly three decades, Home Care Powered by AUAF has offered trusted in-home care to seniors across Illinois. Our services support activities of daily living, including personal care, light meal prep, and medication reminders.
